Murphys, CA – Volunteers are needed this weekend to collect trash at Feeney Park in Murphys and keep Calaveras clean.
Calaveras County Public Works (CCPW) and Clean California are hosting a “Keep Calaveras Clean” community cleanup event at the park located off Highway 4, at 260 Pennsylvania Gulch Road in Murphys. The event begins at 9 a.m. and runs through 10:30 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday, August 8, 2026. Public works officials relayed that they will provide trash grabbers, trash bags, gloves, water, and garbage removal.
These are the requirements for volunteers as provided by CCPW:
Come prepared: wear closed-toed shoes and bring sunscreen and a hat.
There is no age limit, but minors must be accompanied by an adult.
