Update: Power Outage Along Hwy 108 In Forest Restored

Update at 7:02 a.m.: The power has been restored to more than 1,700 PG&E customers who woke up without electricity this morning along Highway 108, stretching from before Cold Springs to past Strawberry in Tuolumne County. Company officials did not report a cause for the outage.

Original post at 5:54 a.m.: Strawberry, CA – More than 1,700 PG&E customers are waking up without power this morning along Highway 108.

Their electricity went out just after 5 a.m., stretching from before Cold Springs to past Strawberry in Tuolumne County. The utility reports that this is an unplanned outage impacting 1,708 customers. They added, “Our team is evaluating the electrical system to identify damaged sections and make necessary repairs in order to safely turn the power back on.”

A crew is currently at the outage site working to restore power, with an estimated repair time of 10 a.m.
