San Andreas, CA — The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors will hold its final meeting of August on Tuesday.
The meeting will open at 8 am at the Government Center with a closed session to conduct labor negotiations with the Calaveras County Public Safety Employees Association (CCPSEA); Deputy Sheriffs’ Association (DSA); Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 1021; and Sheriff’s Management Unit (SMU).
The regular session will start at 9 am. Early in the meeting, there will be a vote on proclaiming August as Child Support Awareness Month.
Later, the board will vote on adopting an urgency ordinance to impose a 45-day moratorium on the construction of any AI data centers. The board, 5-0, gave direction at the last meeting to develop an urgency ordinance for approval.
Tuesday’s meeting will also feature items related to Tullock Reservoir and programs in the Recorder’s Office.
