Tuolumne County, CA – The 57-year-old Oakdale man who died in a solo vehicle crash on La Grange Road in Tuolumne County has been identified.
The sheriff’s office reports the deceased is Jamie Joseph Theiler. As we reported yesterday, the collision happened late Saturday night, August 22, or early Sunday morning, August 23, on northbound La Grange Road, south of Avenida Lugo North. The CHP said that Theiler was moving at an unknown speed when he failed to negotiate a curve. The Chevy Silverado pickup went off the roadway, striking a metal pole and then a tree.
The crash scene was not discovered until Sunday morning after the Sonora CHP was alerted to the incident and informed that the motorist had died as a result of injuries. They have turned to the public for additional information on the crash, asking anyone who observed the collision or has information about it to contact Officer Jorgensen with the Sonora Area CHP office at (209) 984-3944.
