Sponsored by:

A new poll out today indicates a larger proportion of California voters now believe the country is headed in the wrong direction than at any time since President Bush took office.

According to a Field Poll, 58 percent of Californians believe the country is on the wrong track, as their concerns over terrorism, the war in Iraq and the economy mount.

In December of 2001, 68 percent of Californians said the nation was headed in the right direction.

And Bush continues to receive record low approval ratings in California with 54 percent saying they disapprove of how he´s doing his job.

The poll was drawn from interviews with 640 registered California voters between September 30th to October Fourth.

It had a margin of error of plus or minus three-point-six percentage points.
