Son Of Vigilante Mother Arraigned On Murder Charge

Sponsored by:

The son of vigilante mother Ellie Nesler has pleaded not guilty to murder.

A Tuolumne County court spokeswoman says William Nesler was arraigned late Friday on the single charge of murdering a man living on his property.

Authorities say Nesler fatally beat David Davis an hour after being released from jail for attacking him a month earlier in a dispute over tools. Nesler surrendered to a Sacramento bounty hunter last week, who turned him over to authorities after an ten-day manhunt.

Nesler is widely known for his mother´s vigilante act when she shot his alleged rapist in a Jamestown courtroom more than a decade ago. William Nesler is being held without bail and his preliminary hearing was set for September 22nd.
