Home Damaged In Early Morning Blaze

Calaveras County firefighters battled a house fire in Jenny Lind early this morning.
Firecrews were called at 4:10 a.m. to the 340 block of Sherry Place at South Burson Road near Highway 26. The fire apparently started in the attic and moved to the exterior of the two-story home.
A family was at home at the time the blaze broke out, but were able to escape the flames. There have been no injuries. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
