Fire Near Copperopolis Contained

Firefighters have now fully contained that wildfire near Copperopolis. The 80-acre grass and woodland fire in the Diamond 20 subdivision was first reported after 5 p.m. yesterday. Some homes were threatened at one time.
Aircraft from the CDF Columbia Air Attack base and another air tanker were sent to battle the blaze.
The cause is under investigation.
