The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency says about 100 extra homes will be allowed under this year´s residential building program because of progress made in environmental protection efforts. The agency´s governing board yesterday set the 2003 building limit at 248 homes. Though that´s less than in years past, agency planners say its greater than the number that would have been allowed had local entities around Lake Tahoe not shown progress in environmental controls.
