Field Poll: Davis Would be Ousted in Recall
Sponsored by:
A new Field Poll shows Governor Davis would narrowly lose a recall election with 51 percent of likely voters saying they would oust him. The poll shows 43 percent opposed to a recall.
The poll, from the nonpartisan Field Research Corporation of San Francisco, confirms other surveys that show Davis is in trouble if the Republican-led recall drive makes it to the ballot.
The poll found that among all registered voters, 54 percent would remove Davis. That´s an increase from Field´s April poll. Then 46 percent said they would support a recall.
