Hospital Staffing Law Starts Jan. 1

Hospitals across the state are gearing up for a new law that requires they have a minimum number of nurses on duty. On New Year´s Day, the so-called “Safe Staffing Law” goes into effect. The law is the first of its kind in the nation and requires hospitals have a minimum number of nurses working, depending on the number of patients.
