With temperatures in the 90s, nothing is more inviting than a cooling dip in a swimming pool.
The Tuolumne County Recreation Department pools are now open and summer swimming is in full swing for all ages. Pools are open at Twain Harte, Tuolumne City, Columbia and Sonora High School, with recreational swimming hours from 1 to 5 p.m. each day. Lessons are available.
