Area fire crews were busy Monday afternoon.
Sonora City Fire units responded to a pick-up truck fire in the parking lot near Auto Zone in the Crossroads Shopping Center Monday. Calaveras County firefighters doused a vehicle fire on Mountain Ranch Road in front of the government buildings in San Andreas shortly after 4 p.m. Monday.
Groveland and Tuolumne County fire units were sent to the 9800 block of Shortline Road Monday afternoon for a vegetation fire possibly caused from an escaped control burn. The fire was contained to about 1/2 an acre. Crews were still on the scene at 6 p.m.
