Fatal Fire Believed Arson

Family members gathered in the Hollywood Hills last evening after a devastating house fire claimed the lives of four people. Meanwhile, detectives have determined the fire was intentionally set and are investigating it as a homicide. The victims have been identified as: 43-year-old Gita Kumar; her 18-year-old son, Paras; her 16-year-old daughter, Tulsi Kumar; and her mother-in-law, Sitaben Patel. The husband, 47-year-old Hamish Kumar, said he returned late Saturday night with relatives and found the house in flames. He has since been questioned, but police say he is not a suspect.
