Scam Fax Arriving At Mother Lode Businesses

A familiar scam is back on a fax machine near you. The current variation describes an exiled Nigerian Widow trying to get 45 million dollars into the U-S before the government confiscates it. The hook is an offer of 20 percent of the loot, and the recipient is asked to provide fax or phone numbers. At least five area businesses including Clarke Broadcasting have received copies addressed to the Manager. It´s under investigation.
