Moving into the lead in polls for the Republican nomination for California Governor, Bill Simon says his staff has been in touch with the staff at the White House. Asked about highest-level G-O-P interest in his campaign for the primary on Tuesday, Simon said today: “There have been contacts between our staffs, and the White House will work with whoever wins.´´
