Valley Judge Admits Improprieties

A San Joaquin Superior Court judge accused of judicial misconduct has admitted fixing speeding tickets for friends. Judge Michael Platt told a judicial ethics panel he ordered court clerks to dismiss speeding tickets for a deputy sheriff´s son and a Minnesota Twins pitcher. Platt´s hearing in front of a panel of the Commission on Judicial Performance is expected to end tomorrow.
