The U.S. Forest Service says campfires and charcoal barbecues will be banned in the entire Los Padres National Forest starting tomorrow. The ban due to extremely dry conditions will be in effect for the busy July 4th holiday weekend, and it is not known when it will be lifted. Officials say rangers patrolling Los Padres National Forest during the holiday period will also strictly enforce the “no fireworks” law.
