Shooter Pleads Innocent

A Wallace man accused of fatally shooting two neighbors because they were cutting down his trees has pleaded innocent to murder. Peter Jordan Chiesa was arraigned in Calaveras County Superior Court yesterday. Prosecutors say Chiesa shot Leslie Hannameyer and Annette Truman in June after they cleared wood from a disputed easement.
