Fire Destroys Home In Hathaway Pines

A single family residence burned to the ground Thursday on Highway 4 at Commercial Way in Hathaway Pines. No one was home at the time. The blaze was first reported at 12:30 yesterday afternoon. Calaveras County Fire Captain Tom Hutchinson said power lines were down in the area as a result of the fire. The blaze was brought under control at 2 o´clock. Cause of the fire is now under investigation.
