Deficit Forces Discontinuation Of Awards Program

A 232.6 billion dollar deficit in the state´s budget will force Governor Davis to discontinue an education awards program that credits high performing schools and their teachers. Davis administration officials say the state budget crisis has made it impossible to fund the program.
