Even though the weather man says the Mother Lode will get some rain out of this storm front, fire officials aren´t ready to pull fire restrictions or call off fire season just yet.
Tuolumne County CDF fire chief Richard Imlach says it will take a few good drenchings to end this year´s fire season – at least an inch or two.
Imlach says fire season in the state normally ends by the second week in November, and cooler days in the late fall are dangerous because people assume it´s safe to burn and get careless with fire.
