Better be ready for a lot of wet weather this weekend.
A strong Pacific jet stream is bringing a series of storms to the Mother Lode today through at least Sunday.
Mother Lode residents are waking up to wet roads and highways this morning. Use care when driving, roads are slippery.
Forecasters say the snow level of this first front will be quite high, about 6,000 -to- 7,000-thousand feet.
Saturday a very powerful storm will arrive, bringing heavy rain and snow plus winds around 25 – to – 30 miles per hour and gusts from 50 – to – 70 miles per hour at mountain peaks.
Snow levels will drop significantly Saturday night into Sunday.
