Wet And Stormy Weekend

Sponsored by:

Get ready for another wet and stormy weekend in the Mother Lode and California.

Back-to-back storms have increased the chance of flooding in Northern California, while the National Weather Service predicts showers for Southern California throughout the weekend. Up to a foot of snow is forecast for the Sierra Nevada.

Snow level in the Mother Lode is going to be above 2,500 feet tonight.

The California Department of Fish and Game already has closed several wildlife areas in Yolo, Butte and Sutter counties because of flooding. A flood warning has been issued for the Napa River near St. Helena in Napa County, which is expected to reach 13 feet this morning. Humboldt County also is under a flood warning after three to five inches of rain yesterday and more expected through today.
