Update at 4:55 p.m.: The power has been restored to the final 358 of the original 1,200 PG&E customers in the Columbia area of Tuolumne County. As reported below, Columbia College administrators have reversed their call to end classes for the day and say they are back on, so students should attend any classes they have for the rest of the day.

Update at 3:40 p.m.: PG&E crews have turned the power back on for most of the over 1,200 customers in the Columbia area, including Columbia College. School administrators have reversed their call to end classes for the day and say they are back on, so students should attend any classes they have for the rest of the day. The utility reports that those still without electricity are 358 customers along Parrotts Ferry Road, which includes Columbia State Park and Columbia Airport. The company still gives a full restoration by 8:45 PM.

The company reports that it is investigating the cause. Columbia College announces that classes are cancelled, for those starting after 3:30 pm, due to the situation.

PG&E reports that it hopes to have full restoration by 8:45 PM.

The outage is also impacting Columbia State Park and Columbia Airport.
