Tuolumne County Offices Announce Thanksgiving Holiday Schedule

Sonora, CA– Tuolumne County has announced adjusted office hours for Thanksgiving week, with several departments closing or operating on modified schedules to accommodate the holiday.
Full-week closures:
- Archives: Closed Nov. 27–Dec. 6
- Community Development Department and Public Works: Closed Nov. 25–29 (inspections available as noted in a separate release).
- County Administration: Closed Nov. 27–29
- Human Resources: Closed Nov. 25–29
- Probation Department Work Release: Closed Nov. 24–30
Partial closures:
- County Counsel: Closed starting at 12 p.m. on Nov. 27 through Nov. 29
Regular hours with holiday closures Nov. 28–29:
The following departments will operate on normal schedules during the week but close for Thanksgiving and the following Friday:
- Agricultural Commissioner & Weights and Measures, Air Pollution Control
- Animal Control (on-call officer available for emergencies via the Sheriff’s Office at 209-533-5815)
- Assessor-Recorder’s Office
- Clerk & Auditor-Controller’s Office
- District Attorney’s Office
- General Services Agency
- Health and Human Services, including Behavioral Health (emergency assistance available at 209-533-7000 or toll-free at 1-800-630-1130)
- Library and Recreation
- Probation Department
- Public Defender’s Office
- Sheriff’s Office (Civil and Administration)
- Treasurer/Tax Collector
Emergency services unaffected:
Emergency services, including the Sheriff’s Office, fire, and ambulance, will remain operational 24/7 throughout the holiday period.
