Citizens On Patrol
Tuolumne County residents have a chance to take part in the Sheriff’s Office Citizens Academy Class.
Participants will learn from law enforcement professionals about narcotics enforcement, patrol operations, gang suppression, crime scene analysis, etc. It is designed to teach community members about the Sheriff’s Office, and how you can serve the community. Graduates will receive a diploma from Sheriff Jim Mele. Applications are available at the Sheriff’s Office Administration Building, Community Service Unit Offices and at the County’s website. Questions about the course should be directed to the Sheriff’s Office.
The program is 12 weeks long and meetings are typically held on Thursday evenings. Applications will be accepted through May 15th.
