Mobile Home Fire Accidental

Colombia, CA — A mobile home fire is declared accidental by CAL Fire. However, they are still investigating exactly what sparked the blaze on the 11000 block of Howser Lane in Columbia.
Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office Spokesperson Sgt. Jeff Wilson says 77-year-old John Mathews was airlifted to UC Davis Medical Center. CAL Fire says he suffered burns to his body.
The fire started around 6:30 Tuesday morning and crews battled the blaze for about five hours. CAL Fire says the trailer was destroyed.
