A Jumping Frog Celebration
Angels Camp, CA– It’s been another year of carnival rides, exhibits, corndogs and jumping frogs at the Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee.
Kids were admitted free during “Heritage Days” Thursday and Friday. Thursday also included the Saddle Queen and Miss Calaveras Competitions.
Friday brought in the crowds for Motocross and Bull Riding competitions and Saturday was “Pirates of the Caribbean Day.” Country music artist and American Idol finalist Bucky Covington lit up the main stage Saturday night.
“International Frog Jump Day” is today and features the world famous frog jump finals on this last day of the fair.
The Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee has grown to an event with more than 35,000 attendees. It is estimated that the fair generates approximately 25.5 million dollars in revenues through hotels, restaurants, retail and other related revenues.
