Emergency Room Gets Improved Diagnostics
San Andreas, CA– Improved diagnostic equipment is now available in the emergency department at Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital.
An effort by community advocates have brought digital technology that includes high resolution monitors, interfaced with the hospital’s Picture Archiving Computer System, that will enable physicians to read high quality CT, MRI and X-Ray digital images in the emergency department.
Community advocate Carol Crosby, who knew of the advantages of this technology, was very outspoken in support of the new hardware and worked closely with Mark Twain Health Care District Board Director Dave Tanner to move the project along. “I felt the technology would be of benefit for our community. The images are incredible. I was proud to be a part of the process.”
