T.N.T. Scores Major Drug Bust
Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne Narcotics Team (T.N.T.) scored a major bust Tuesday arresting 62 year old David Anthony Barton and his 45 year old wife Lisa Georgann Barton.
T.N.T. was assisted in the effort by both the Investigation Division and the Operations Division of the Sheriff’s Office.
When deputies served a warrant at a residence located in the 19000 block of Callahan Rd. in an unincorporated area of the county they discovered approximately one-half pound of methamphetamine, three-quarters pound of marijuana, 19 suspected Vicodin tablets, $200 cash, ammunition and a prohibited knife.
The meth had a street value of approximately $20,000 while the marijuana had a street value of approximately $1,000.
The Bartons were arrested and booked into the Tuolumne County Jail with bail set at $60,000 each.
According to T.N.T. Sgt. Scott Johnson, "This was a significant methamphetamine seizure for Tuolumne County. Disabling this methamphetamine distribution location will have a major impact on the availability of methamphetamine that is sold locally."
