Twain Harte School Is “Distinguished”
Twain Harte, CA — Twain Harte Middle School has been selected as a 2009 “California Distinguished School,” as announced by State School Superintendent Jack O’Connell.
Retiring Twain Harte Principal Mike Woicicki will accept the award at Disneyland in May.
Twain Harte-Long Barn Superintendent Dr. John Keiter praises the hard work of the students, administration, teachers, support staff and parents.
“Twain Harte Middle School has shown steady increase in student achievement which is one of the key qualifications in being named a Distinguished School,” says Keiter. “Another factor in earning the recognition is the Virtues Program implemented by Mr. Woicicki and the staff several years ago.”
Students are recognized for epitomizing positive virtues in their daily conduct. Statewide, 261 California schools were selected for 2009.
