Angels Camp, CA — The community of Angels Camp is celebrating its new bypass.
A kickoff celebration began at four o’clock at the Hwy 4/49 intersection.
Community members took the opportunity to walk, bike and skateboard along the new stretch of highway. Live bands performed, and there was a ceremonial flyover.
Caltrans will host an official ribbon cutting at 10am Wednesday.
Serving as the general contractor, Teichert Construction of Stockton finished the project approximately 18 months early and $5-6 million under budget.
