New Supervisor Selected For Stanislaus National Forest

Sponsored by:

Sonora, Ca — Susan Skalski has been selected as the new Forest Supervisor of the Stanislaus National Forest, replacing the departing Tom Quinn.

Skalski, currently the Deputy Forest Supervisor of the Idaho Panhandle of the National Forests in Northern Idaho, expects to arrive at her Stanislaus post in mid June.

“I´m very excited about moving to a part of California rich in history and natural beauty,” says Skalski in a statement. “I´ve heard that people in the Mother Lode are friendly, engaging and take a personal interest in the forest that surrounds them.”

In her 27-year career, Skalski has worked in recreation, wild-and-scenic river planning, timber sale planning, wilderness resources and public lands administration.

Skalski currently lives in Coeur d´Alene, Idaho with her husband Jim and their Golden Retriever, Willie.
