Stanton Sentenced To 40 Years In Prison

Sonora, Ca — 30-year-old David Roy Stanton will spend 40 years in prison for the murder of Jon Steven Flaherty back on August 25th of last year.
Flaherty´s body was found by investigators three days later in the Deer Creek area near Murderers Gulch.
Stanton was sentenced to 15 years for a conviction of 2nd Degree Murder and an additional 25 years for a gun enhancement charge. There is not a possibility for parole.
The sentencing was handed down this afternoon in Department Four of Tuolumne County Superior Court.
