P.G.& E. To Reenergize 70kv Yosemite-El Portal Power Today

San Francisco, CA — According to P.G.& E. Spokesperson Joe Molica P.G.& E. will reenergize the 70kv transmission line that supplies power to the El Portal community and Yosemite National Park at 2pm today.
Switching customers back to the main transmission line will take approximately three hours. Molica adds that hard line power should be restored to all customers by 5pm.
During the Telegraph Fire P.G.& E. lost three miles of the 70kv transmission line, 15 wooden poles and 54 distribution polls. No damage estimate has been announced.
