CHP Changes Work Hours
The California Highway Patol hours is changing the hours for those who work at the CHP office in Tuolumne County. CHP Officer Tom Wills was the Thursday morning Newsmaker on KVML.
Wills said, “Some office workers are working four 10 hour days and the Patrol Officers are now working three 12 hour days.”
This is a new program that the CHP is rolling out across the state. The benefit of our changing hours will allow more CHP Officers to patrol the roadways and we will have longer stretches to rest, refresh and relax at home.
According to Wills, not only is this a motivation booster for the workers but it allows the CHP to cut overtime hours.
The Newsmaker of the Day can be heard each weekday morning at 6:47, 7:47 and 8:47 on AM-1450 KVML.
