Crash Landing At Columbia Air Attack Base: No Injuries
Columbia, Ca — A Hayward man walked away without injuries following a crash landing at the Columbia Air Attack Base this afternoon.
?A Cessna 150 being flown by a 27-year-old flight student from Hayward was landing at Columbia when he overshot the runway, hit the brakes and went into some rocks near the Air Attack Base,? says Lt. Dan Bressler with the Sheriff´s Office. ?The damage to the plane was extensive.?
Bressler says that no one else was in the aircraft at the time of the accident. The plane is owned by the Flying Viking Flight School out of Hayward.
The accident was reported shortly after 3pm.
