Computer Classes Free For Calaveras County Adults
Hands-on computer lab classes will be offered to any adult in Calaveras County wanting a better understanding of computer technology, with emphasis on expanding work skills and increasing employability. Keith Boggs, a ZeroDivide Fellow was Thursday morning´s KVML Newsmaker.
ZeroDivide helps underserved communities secure social justice, access, and equality through application of information and communications technologies. ZeroDivide is also funding the twenty class series to make this completely free to those who sign up to attend the classes.
Calaveras County District 5 Supervisor Russ Thomas has worked with ZeroDivide to help arrange the class series at Bret Harte High School.
Reservations must be made as space is limited to 35 participants. The classes begin this evening and will continue Through December 20th on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Topics will include PC Windows, the internet, PowerPoint basics, word processing, Excel Access and databases.
