Washington, DC — The manufacturer of an amusement park ride called the Yo-Yo is recalling it to repair defects.
The Associated Press reports that there have been two accidents involving the Yo-Yo ride in the past couple of years. In May, one collapsed at the Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee, injuring 23 people.
Two years earlier, another one at Six Flags in Texas also malfunctioned, injuring nine. The Yo-Yo ride has a series of metal arms extending from a rotating hub. A chair is attached to the end of each arm by a chain.
