Water Conditions Improving For Big Hill Residents
Sonora, CA — Water conditions are improving for Big Hill residents but the battle has not been totally won.
Tuolumne Utilities District General Manager Pete Kampa says the water level has risen to seven-and-a-half feet in the storage reservoir. The level had dropped to a drastically low level due to leaks in the system and residents running water to avoid freezing pipes.
Kampa is requesting that residents continue to boil their water for at least one minute. He adds that while there may not be a serious threat of contamination, he recommends the boiled water until the testing has been completed.
