Parkinson’s Support In The Mother Lode
San Andreas, CA — Sarah Johnson is fighting her way through the difficult disease of Parkinson´s and along the way she is supporting others with the disorder.
Johnson, who lives in Volcano, says 400 to 500 people have Parkinson´s in Calaveras and Amador counties.
Her grassroots organization is the Proactive Parkinson´s Project. Johnson spends her time passing out literature and speaking to families affected by the disease.
A public seminar about Parkinson´s will take place at 10 a.m., May 24 at the Calaveras Senior Center in San Andreas.
