T.C. Board Of Supervisors Told That Fire Season Will Begin Monday
Sonora, Ca — CAL FIRE is set to announce that Fire Season will begin next week.
That was the news from Tuolumne County Fire Department Chief Julie Henriques as she addressed the Board of Supervisors at Tuesday´s regular meeting.
“You guys are the first to hear that on Monday, CAL FIRE will declare Fire Season,” said Henriques.We will open all the Cal Fire stations in Tuolumne County and we will go to restricted burning hours.” Henriques noted that more information on Fire Season will be released within the next 48 hours.
Henriques was on hand to address the board on the Southwest Interface Project, which is a collaborative partnership to mitigate serious wildland fire problems within a 132,000 acre area in southern Tuolumne and northern Mariposa counties.
