Calaveras Employees Plead Not Guilty To Theft

San Andreas, CA — Facing charges of theft of Calaveras County property, two county employees are pleading not guilty.
Public Works Supervisor Dave Sanders and mechanic Lee Rhodes were in court Tuesday.
The two men were arrested last month after an investigation revealed they had been stealing county property for some time.
Some of the items they are accused of taking include, surplus county vehicles, tires and other county equipment.
The District Attorney´s Office says Sanders will have a preliminary hearing June 25 at 1:30 p.m. while Rhodes´ hearing is set for June 11 at 3 p.m.
