District Trustees Approve Black Oak And Twain Harte School Consolidation
Twain Harte, Ca — Students at Black Oak Elementary will soon be moved to the Twain Harte School.
At a meeting held this week, the District Trustees voted to consolidate the two schools.
“The school (Black Oak) was constructed because of increasing enrollment, and it seems logical that when there is a decrease in enrollment you do something the opposite,” says outgoing School Supt. Mike Brusa.
The move is tentatively scheduled to occur in 2008.
“There are other uses that the school can utilize the space for, and in the long run I think they need to look at whether they need that property or not,” adds Brusa. “That´s a decision that would come down the line.”
