Airport, Parks Top Calaveras Agenda
San Andreas, CA — It´s a pretty light agenda this Tuesday for the weekly meeting of the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors.
First off the board will consider awarding a bid for improvements to the Calaveras Airport. Granite Construction is the proposed builder to construct a new apron and taxiways. Since funding is primarily from the Federal Aviation Agency, the bid is subject to FAA approval.
And later on the board´s agenda it will consider adding another commissioner to the newly formed Parks and Recreation Commission. The board appointed commissioners from each of their respective districts two weeks ago but held off on districts three and five. Three because there were no applicants and five because Supervisor Russ Thomas wanted time to interview his candidates.
The board meets at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the county Government Center in San Andreas.
