California Students Sue Over High School Exit Exam
Sacramento, CA — California students are fighting back against the state´s controversial high school exit exam.
Reports indicate the ten students are suing because, due to the new test, they will not be graduating with their class this summer.
The lead attorney for the students says the state has failed to come up with mandated alternatives for students who do not pass the test.
The lawsuit could include thousands of California seniors from the class of 2006, which is the first class required to pass the test regardless of their grades in school.
The attorney is seeking a court injunction to allow the students in this year´s class to graduate while legislators amend the current law.
