Major Drug Bust For Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Department
Sonora, CA — A major bust for the Tuolumne County Narcotics Team; Friday the T.N.T. , with the help of patrol and civil units, conducted a traffic stop on Highway 120 near Green Springs.
The truck was searched and approximately a half a pound of suspected methamphetamine was discovered. Vicente Carrazco-Mendoza and a 17 year old were taken into custody. Carrazco-Mencoza was booked into the Tuolumne County Jail while the juvenile was turned over to the Probation Department.
The T.N.T. unit, with an assist from Stanislaus County law enforcement personnel, then discovered two pounds of meth and $20,000 in cash in an Empire, CA residence. In Denair, CA, seven pounds of meth was found and two adult females were arrested.
According to Lt. Dan Bressler of the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department, this seizure will have serious repercussions on the supply of meth in the county because these subjects were major suppliers. Leads for the arrests originated during Operation Jackpot several months ago.
