Funding Approved For Transportation Enhancement Projects
San Andreas, CA — Several transportation enhancement projects will be underway in Calaveras County thanks to approval by the Calaveras Council of Governments Wednesday.
The council approved funding allocations from a federal transportation enhancement program, which is administered by the state.
The projects include sidewalks in Angels Camp and the restoration of a Shay Locomotive at the Sierra Nevada Logging Museum in White Pines.
The money will not be available until July of 2007, which is the soonest work could begin on the projects.
The council also set aside transportation enhancement money for the Cosgrove Creek Pedestrian and Bicycle Corridor and the Mokelumne Hill Streetscape Enhancement and Townhall Restoration Project.
