The parents of Danielle van Dam have asked people to remember all missing children as they mark the one-year anniversary of their daughter€™s disappearance.

Brenda and Damon van Dam say they can only mark the day of Danielle€™s kidnapping since they do not know the exact date of her death. The seven-year-old girl was discovered missing from her northern San Diego home on February second last year. Her body was found nearly a month later alongside a remote road. The van Dams´ former neighbor, David Westerfield, has been sentenced to death for the girl€™s kidnapping and murder.
